Education and Certification To become a lawyer in Pakistan, a person must complete a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree, which is a five-year program. After graduation, they must pass the bar examination.

An attorney must also complete the same education and certification process as a lawyer.
Additionally, they also authorized to act on behalf of another person through a power of attorney in a court of law.
Lawyers in Pakistan can provide legal advice to clients, represent clients in legal matters, draft legal documents, and provide other legal services. They also allow to appear before a court of law, to represent clients in criminal and civil cases.
Attorneys, on the other hand, have a limited scope of practice in Pakistan. They can only act on behalf of their clients in the matters that authorize to do so. They cannot provide legal advice, represent clients in court, or draft legal documents.
The difference between a lawyer and an attorney in Pakistan is subtle but significant. Both professions are authorize to practice law, a lawyer is a general term used to refer to any professional who train in the law and is authorize to practice, while an attorney is a specific term that refers to a person who is appointe or authorize to act on behalf of another person.
Both professionals must complete same education and certification. The scope of practice as attorney is lower compare to a lawyer.
